Answer To Trivia Anyone born after 1975 can take a pass on this question... Chris Pine plays the famous role of James Tiberius Kirk originated by William Shatner in the new Star Trek film. The 29-year-old has had a number of film and TV roles including Just My Luck, Smokin' Aces, and Bottle Shock. Chris has been acting for some time. In fact, for his first on-camera performance, he played a baby in the womb. Pine's parents are both actors. Gwynne Gilford, his mother, appeared on the '80s TV series CHiPs while pregnant with Chris. Chris' father Robert Pine played Sgt. Getraer on the show. He was the boss to Jon and Ponch. The young Pine talked about his first role -- and even showed the clip -- during a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel's show. You can watch that segment on YouTube. Speaking of watching, you can see Pine and the rest of new Enterprise crew in Star Trek. Action and suspense mastermind J.J. Abrams reinterprets the famed sci-fi series in this smokin' new film.
